We have been happily married for 15 years and have 4 amazing children, Connor (14), Christa (12), Claire (10), and Caleb (7).
For the pas 8 years we have been volunteer bi-vocational pastors and have a heart to see lives and families transformed by the power of God.
Jonathan had a successful career as a wholesale distributor of underground utilities in the construction industry for over 15 years while Vanessa was a stay-at-home mom and in the most recent 3 years has worked at the Lake Stevens School District as a substitute para-educator.
The call to missions began a little over 5 years ago when we decided to take a short term missions trip as a complete family to none other than the Philippines. At the time our youngest Caleb was only 9 month and our oldest Connor was 8.
Something awakened inside us after our first missions trip, a passion to be out reaching people. This was something we knew our family was destined and called to do. So over the span of 5 years as a complete family we participated in 10 international and stateside trips.
We always dreamed of the possibility of full time missions work but we had the “American Dream” here. Why ruin that?
It wasn’t until our trip in the spring of 2015 to Kings Garden Children’s Home were we felt that God was asking us to serve full time and be a “Family to the Orphaned” serving at Kings Garden Children’s Home in Bataan Philippines.
Our lives have been radically transformed by responding to God’s call and submitting to His plan. We invite to join the journey with us as we invest in these children and help them transition from forgotten to chosen children of God.
